Re: Change Back to .,, Senior Golfer/ Utopians

Why are sports so successful? Then as a Country we struggle? Consider: A sports team regardless of the Professional sport has a owner or a investment group that owns the team and hires a General Manager, Coach, and often get involved in the selection of players and negotiating contracts.

The fans can buy a ticket, support the team with some atta’s boys, and then at times play 20/20 hindsight, rocking chair quarterbacking. Then when the team is winning refer to them as “US”, but if the team is having a losing season they become “THOSE”. This ends the participation of the fans. No financial interest then no input.

This a novel thought: How about if the Country was ran the same? Those that pay the “majority” of taxes select those that run the Government. If they fall behind or don’t do a good job they are replaced, and sometimes that means during the season.

Those that do not pay Taxes, or at least a certain amount, such as, $5000.00 per year then they are welcome to be a fan. But the weakness of our Country is the fans are making the decisions of the elected officials rather than those that contribute to the strength of our Country.

I don’t think there would be any sports team succeed if they were ran by the fans.. I think the direction of the Country says the same about the “majority” vote.
