Dear Lee,

The active months in the primary CMX Silver futures are:

March
May
July
September
December

All other are considered 'off' months and are primarily used by hedgers and commercial traders. And even a lot of hedgers and commercials shy away from using the off months and stick with the primaries because of the liquidity issue. They often use the primaries with secondary interest rate hedges just to save a couple of bucks because of the size they need to work with.
