In my humble opinion, the national anthem should always be sung straight using the original melody. Christina Aquilera absolutely butchered the song trying to do her own hip hoppish rendition, which in my opinion was totally crapola. And not only did she butcher the melody but she also forgot the friggen words. She's supposed to be this bigtime pro but with yesterdays performance she'd have been given the boot off American Idol in the first round of the competition.
