Natural gas declines after EIA report (by Claudia Assis)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures added to losses Thursday after the Energy Information Administration reported a smaller-than-expected decline in supplies. Natural gas for March delivery (NGH11) was down 6 cents, or 1.6%, to $3.86 per million British thermal units; it traded at $3.92 before the report. The EIA said supplies of the energy product dropped 233 billion cubic feet in the week ended Feb. 11. Analysts polled by Platts had expected a decline of 235 to 239 billion cubic feet.
