Corn: The nearby March contract posted a new high for the move at $7.12 3/4 as the long-term uptrend remains firmly intact, setting up a possible higher settlement for a third straight week.
Soybeans: Renewed noncommercial buying pushed the March to August bean contracts back above $14.00 avoiding the establishment of a short-term downtrend.
Wheat: Chicago wheat was an unwilling follower Thursday of the other grains limited by commercial selling, though contracts settled double-digits higher with a late round of noncommercial buying.
Live Cattle: Cattle traded in wide range Thursday, ultimately finding a fresh round of buying from the strong rally in corn as concerns mount over future cattle supplies.
Cotton: Old-crop cotton settled limit-up and at a new record high for a second consecutive session as volatility remains extremely high. What else is new?
