SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures settled at a fresh record high Wednesday, buoyed by safe-haven buying on inflation fears and worries about the Middle East and North Africa. Gold for April delivery (GCJ11) added $6.50, or 0.5%, to $1,437.70 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
