Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 3 to 5 Lower as of 7:15 a.m. CDT
26 minutes ago
Corn: May corn touched its previous all-time high at $7.65 Monday, setting the stage for a new record Tuesday by only trading 5 cents higher.
Soybeans: Despite sharp gains in corn and wheat, the soybean market continued to struggle in large part due to a lack of fresh news.
Wheat: Contracts at all three exchanges were sharply higher, led by the Kansas City market tied to forecasts calling for above average temperatures and dry conditions for a large portion of the Southern Plains.
Live Cattle: Cattle contracts were mostly lower after posting new highs. However, strong support is expected to come from solid seasonal demand.
Cotton: New-crop cotton posted sharp gains, closing above the previous contract high as both sides of the market grow more concerned over spring acreage.
