Today's Market View - Grains and Meats

Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 6 to 8 Higher as of 7:15 a.m. CDT
25 minutes ago

Corn: Old-crop corn drifted lower Wednesday due to a lack of fresh buying interest after posting an all-time high Tuesday, while new-crop December finished fractionally higher on light commercial support.

Soybeans: It appeared beans would break out of their recent funk Wednesday only to close mixed on late pressure from both sides of the market.

Wheat: Wheat was pressured lower by bearish fundamentals in part tied to a Russian Grain Union executive stating there is about 8 mmt more grain than originally thought along with the best Chinese wheat conditions in 5-years.

Live Cattle: Triple-digit losses were posted in most live cattle contracts on heavy noncommercial long-liquidation and light commercial pressure in deferred months.

Cotton: Strong buying from both commercial and noncommercial traders led to a new high in the December contract for a fifth straight session.
