Re: Long term summer growing season weather

In fact La Nina is still with us although is has certainly started to weaken. Climatological ensembles suggest it will be gone by later June. That leaves us with an couple of months of "not" el Nino which usually means a pretty wet spring in the corn growing areas. In fact, Meteorological ensembles and the US Climate Prediction Centre are looking at heavy rainfall totals over the Midwest/Ohio Valley/East central and NE portions of the US during the next 2 weeks with significant chances for flooding/very wet field conditions.
