The date of the Easter holiday, celebrating the death and rebirth, is not fixed and has shifted quite a bit over the ages. The death of the Sun, occurs on 12/22 upon the Southern Cross, followed by a reversal of it's progession on the 25th, perhaps a more fitting date for Easter, the rebirth. The mundane rebirth is the Spring Equinox, usually 3/21, where days become obviously longer than night, as the Sun continues to depart it's migration; a good timeslot for the Easter celebration, I suppose. This is why there is no Biblical reference for this mundane Holiday. CO
