Today's Market View

Corn Futures Expected to Open 1 to 5 Lower at 7:15 a.m.

Corn: The July contract ended the week where it started with solid gains on follow-through commercial buying as the supply and demand situation continues to grow more bullish.

Soybeans: The bean market posted solid gains of its own last week on spillover noncommercial support from the surge in corn and renewed commercial interest.

Wheat: All three wheat markets posted sharp gains last week with the July Minneapolis contract gaining 99 1/2 cents as production woes continue due to adverse weather.

Live Cattle: The downtrend strengthened last week in live cattle, setting the stage for follow-through noncommercial long-liquidation this week.

Cotton: New-crop cotton stalled the recent selloff by posting strong gains last week. A bullish long-term supply and demand situation could lead to continued interest from both sides this week.
