A nice up trend in play...is great music to my ears.
Once again, like 2010, the relentless heat is hammering our rice in the midsouth area. Irrigation wells are working overtime trying to flood rice fields. Even though our wells are pumping approximately 2500 gallons of water per minute, the evaporation rate is well over 1/2 inch of water per day. It's a very challenging situation, especially when you are trying to water rice fields a mile long.
September rice futures look good but I would like to see $20.00 per hundred weight in the near future.
Time to get away from it all....I'm headed to Greers Ferry Lake tomorrow.
Thanks Coral,
