Here is a seasonal trend chart for Coffee. It is only one 37 year average but does line up well with the 5yr,15yr and 25yr charts that show a low early August with a run up into the 1st week of Sept and a sharp selloff through Sept into early October and then rallies again after that into the end of the year. While any given year may not match this it does give a good guide as to 'typical' price action over the various time frames compared and overlaid each other which haven't changed and continue to be consistent in trend.
P.S. Today is the "15th" day in a row where the Daily Dec Coffee price has had a higher high AND higher low. I think this is what they call a 'runaway market'.
