Well, Thank you.

On this:
"you knew little of the industry", I thought I said as much, but I did think the bellies were primarily used for bacon.

On this:
"ground into the 42% trim", I have no idea what this is, never heard of it either !!!

Maybe it's the stuff they put into those "fatty" hot dogs along with "who knows what else" !!!!

I worked with a guy in Texas that in 1973 actively traded pork bellies and apparently made good money at it. When I asked, I was told they were basically bacon.

Now you have the "sum total of my knowledge" on "pork bellies" other than what you just told me !!!!

I do think my response to Gian was reasonable, with the suggestion that he do further research as he had posted several times on the subject.

Please feel free to delve into pork bellies and the pork industry further if you like. I would be interested !!!
