Today's Market View Corn Futures Expected to Open 2 to 3 Higher as of 7:15 a.m. CDT
20 minutes ago

Corn: The corn market worked lower for a third time this week on follow-through selling from both sides of the market, setting up a possible short-term downtrend.

Soybeans: Bean contracts almost pushed to the plus side on talk China could increase bean imports dramatically in the 2011-2012 marketing year to meet demand for the growing hog sector.

Wheat: Wheat did what it usually does by maintaining its follower role and tracking corn lower. The strong U.S. dollar index also contributed to the slide, as well as bearish global fundamentals.

Live Cattle: The cattle market continued this week's impressive rally tied to noncommercial traders rebuilding their net-long position that shrunk last week to its lowest level since late 2009.

Cotton: After closing above key resistance near $109 Wednesday, December cotton posted strong gains Thursday, extending the short-term uptrend in the process.
