Natural-gas futures rally after supply report (by Claudia Assis)
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures on Thursday shot up after a weekly government supplies report showed a decline for the week ended Nov. 25. Natural gas for January delivery (ng12f) added 11 cents, or 3.1%, to $3.66 per million British thermal units. Before the report, it traded around $3.56 per million Btus. The Energy Information Administration said inventories declined 1 billion cubic feet in the week, compared to expectations of a rise around 10 bcf.
