weather February 20-27th

Milder than average over the eastern seaboard and SE states; cool over the central Rockies; near normal elsewhere.

This week sees relatively cool conditions to start for most of the lower 48 E of the rockies with a gradual moderating trend thru the week. A few week impulses will cross thru the centre of the country during the week bringing generally light precipitation except over SE TX and LA where some Gulf of Mexico moisture will create locally heavy rainfalls. By late wed/early thursday a low coming out of the central plains will deepen as it moves NE toward Lake Huron but it will phase with a depression further to the S, possibly creating a Nor-Easter type rain/snowstorm over the eastern Seaboard, from DC up to Maine. At this point it looks like coastal loactions will receive mainly rain, with heavy snow inland, but its still too early to call. Behind this storm another surge of artic air will plunge thru the great lakes region and into the NE and E central states for the weekend.

This weeks withdrawl numbers for NG should be near average; that is to say somewhere between 150-200 bcf...a big # for this winter so far.
