Re: White House denies rept on OIL rsv release/Hal

Hi Hal,
Interesting excerpt here: [Timetable]
"that any agreement was reached with a timetable associated with it, that report is false, it is not accurate"

Sounds realistic to me .... Give the Brits time to chew on it, and also see what the market reaction is !!!

So, 103.79 on a little bit of talk, implementation would likely bring a 10 fold drop. Then a "Strong, Constant battle" to implement:
- The Keystone Pipeline
- Development of western Alaska oil fields (the Caribou will survive).
- Clear positioning on Solar and Wind - helpful but not the solution, only marginal help - just as hydro and thermal is.

Prevent windfall profits on the export of LNG from domestic gas. The international market is HUGE. Those profits should be plowed back into the build out of our domestic infrastructure.
- I can see it coming !! We'll be supplying China, Japan, etc. with cheaper Ng and won't be able to heat our own homes !!!! Screw that !!!

- Assist the build out of CNG facilities where it makes sense - densely populated areas
-- Use those LNG export profits for this !!!

Now, for FUN - THAT HUGE Aircraft carrier that the Navy is planning to scrap !!!
- Yes it has been in service for 51 years, and a re-hab for carrier use unrealistic.
But I bet a lot of LNG storage tanks, and liquefaction and gassifaction gear could be plunked down on that huge flight deck.
- Re-fueling/changing out the Nuclear Reactor likely like changing out a car battery these days !!!
-- If not, yank the reactor. Fill her up in Long Beach, Seattle, or where ever and "Tow it to Japan" = No big deal, 15knots vs 30knots - takes twice as long !!!! But still Cheap !!!!

So, this might be a cheap way to take the pressure off on our current excess gas, fund the infrastructure build out that we sorely need. Then, when we no longer want to export LNG, we just plunk the ship in say Indonesia and load her up there !!! Maybe by then, we will have worn her out !!!

Just a thought - Keep those Politicians squirming ......
