Re: Spike/Firefox and Adobe Shockwave
In Response To: Re: Spike ()

Hi Spike,
Just saw your post to Doc, so thought I would put this here rather than searching for your old post on this.

Are you still having to disable Shockwave ?? I do. When the TFC Forum displays the TD Ameritrade ad with the "start now" button, my CPU cycles go to 100%.

There is a process "plugin-container.exe" that runs and consumes all of the available cycles. I have resorted to keeping the Firefox "add-ons Manager" loaded as a tab and disable shockwave when it occurs. Then have to turn it back on (enable) when needed (which is often). PITA !!!

Someone on Mike Ritchie's staff posted a question if an Ad appeared to be causing it. I responded but nothing has changed.

I don't know if I am the only one experiencing this now or not as I haven't seen other complaints lately ??

Thanks, Lee
