Yes they actually identified the guy but also have to prove he was the rider. Don't have all the details but I see he was 25 yrs old and had 27 driving convictions, no drivers licence as it had been suspended for various driving offenses five times now including driving without insurance. The bike which was a 2006 Yamaha R-1 was registered in his mother's name. As the owner she can be charged as well and will be fined at least. Under the B.C. motor vehicle act the registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for the conduct and person driving it. So far 4 charges add up to over $3000. The cops do want to charge the driver with dangerous driving which is a serious offence but need proof that he was the driver. Gotta prove that in court. Not such an easy task. Need more witnesses and evidence. So far it's just a video of 'someone' driving that bike. Meanwhile the bike has been seized after identifying it by the video and they are considering using the forfeiture law to sell it. So the guy just might not be charged unless there is more proof it was him riding the bike. Meanwhile 'mommy' is wearing the problem........nothing new there,lol..............................
