The Junior Gold Stks continue to underperform the major Gold stocks. Using the GDXJ/GDX ratio chart shows this well. The point is the juniors tend to 'react' 1st to a turn in the Gold market so watching this ratio chart is important for a heads up on the change. Overlaid is the Gold ETF:GLD to show how both Gold Stk groups have underperformed the metal itself. Some suggest that investors no longer need to expose themselves to Gold Stocks anymore with all their negative possibilities that come with them as they can simply buy Gold and Silver ETFs that hold just the metal without all the baggage. This chart suggests there is validity in this argument.
