You guys may be the first generation ever that doesn't want their kids to do better than they did.
I can plainly see you have no idea to whom you speak.
I raised nine kids and every one of them went to college. All but one graduated.
He dropped out after two years and has started his own successful business, actually two.
I do believe in higher education for the ones equipped for it.
I do not believe youngster that come out of high school without being educated should go to college.
If they can not or will not learn, why straddle them with the debt of a student loan?
There are two professors in my family that have struggled for years with the problem of people without a basic education coming to their classes.
Another problem I see in the professional field is some people are getting educated way beyond their intelligence.
I have hired some of those. I have a new hire that fits in that category. She can run every computer program I have but she can't think on her own.
If you can not get the drift of where I was come from by reading this post then I most likely am unable to explain my thoughts.
In a nutshell, dumb kids should not go to college. Uneducated should.
