Re: peak oil eh?
In Response To: Re: peak oil eh? ()

when I took my first airline ride I went from Nashville to Little Rock. When we passed over Memphis it was all I could do to find it's outline. When I did, it was probably a half inch square if that. I used to live in Memphis and Memphis is a pretty big city. When you're on the ground looking at it, it's big. When you're at 30K feet, it's pretty damned small. Then and there it struck me as to how insignificant we were in grand scheme of things. Not even ant's really...more like amoebas.

Then you learn that you can put ever human on earth in an area the size of Texas and everybody would have a plot of either 100 square feet or 1000 square feet to live on...I forgot which. Not that anybody wants to live like that but it could be done. That leaves the rest of the world unoccupied. That's a chit load of empty.

I contend that, much to the dismay of the greenies, you could set ever person on Earth to the task of changing the global environment and they would have exactly zero effect. No change, nada, zip, zilch. Can't be done. Locally, however, you can ruin a river, a lake, the land, but globally...aint happening. Try as you may.

I have no doubt this is true: "The 6-fold increase in hydrocarbon use since 1940 has had no noticeable effect on atmospheric temperature or on the trend in glacier length." Most of what the global change idiots say can and has been debunked. They're idiots. Morons, dunce's, crazy and lazy mind numb robots who spew the leftest line. Wouldn't know a scientific fact if it jumped up their arse and ate em from the inside out.
