Y'know, DC .. I have been promising myself a Rocky Mountain rail visit .. all of the way up to AK. My wife wants to visit Europe and Asia .. She goes to Asia, about once a year .. I haven't left the "Big Island" since mid 2000 ... I doanwannago.

After leaving the floor .. and frittering about for a few years .. I spent enough time in Europe, before the mohammedans took over .. and over a decade in East Asia .. Other than a long overdue visit to some friends, in the Japans, and the ROK ... I don't wanna go.

I do want to go back to Saipan .. one more time. But, I don't want to go to LA, New York, or any other such folderol. Heck, I don't really like trips to the Midwest .. Pheasant population is hardly worth the flight/drive.

However, I DO want to ride in a railcar .. and stay in some of the hotels, up in the mountains, that were built ... around 1900 .. Pretend that I am somebody.

If you're still up that way ... and I don't die before I make the trip .. I'll buy you lunch and a few drinks (define "few").
