I tell ya what...if you've ever owned a business that relied on hired help to make it go...you might have an appreciation for why it is they lean so heavily toward robotics.

It's not just that people are unreliable...a lot of it is the burden the godvernment puts on the employer when they hire someone. Taxes here, taxes there, taxes everywhere. It's often times hard to fire the low life's. They can sue your asss off at the drop of a hat and woe to the poor slob that has to hire under a union shop.

I can see the problem with less work for people to do but that was an argument used when the buggy whip manufacturers job was at risk to the automobile.

There's always something else needing humans to work that comes along. Can't automate everything. It's too cost prohibitive in many instances, etc.
