Re: regulation cuts...
In Response To: Re: regulation cuts... ()

Therein is my point. A regulation cannot be law that extends beyond the reach of the writ of law basis, The Constitution. Its a problem for some to live with regulations and laws, perhaps one could choose somewhere to live without so much regulation, If any at all, Perhaps Somalia.

Regulations actually boon the economy and actually give us an economy...again, example, Somalia..and countries like it, No regulations, No laws,....No economy..a no mans land.

Corporations sell the idea that regulation hurts business and economic growth. And why do they sell that idea? Because , They incur costs associated. They want a fatter bottom line without the effort....Just like the tax "break".

Regulations create jobs. From implementation to the need for systems and product that support that regulation. An example would be the Auto industry, Perhaps THE most regulated industry between safety, emissions and manufacturing standards that have to be met. Strip away need for emissions for example, And now the manufacturer does not need to design for and install MAF`s MAP`s Cat convertors etc etc. In house design ,engineer, install and maintain jobs are no longer needed...as well as vendors that supply that Auto industry. They layoff if they lose those contracts.

Why do we have clean air and safety standards anyway?. Because in the end, people demand it and so do risk management agents such as insurance industry as poor health and increased deaths occur from unsafe manufacture and products.

Liberty actually comes with regulations.....except in places like...Somalia.

Its short sighted to think just stripping away a regulation gains you more freedom or is an economic burden.....Its actually the opposite ..if that regulation is a law that follows the reach of the Constitution.

Capitalism makes us great as a country.....But we need the checks and balances...and so does business itself.
