Re: Verdict... *PIC*

Hell, I don't mind answering questions. The only problem is it's such a long answer. haha

The first time this happened 12-15 years ago I noticed I was having trouble breathing through my left nostril. I didn't do anything about it until I noticed something trying to poke its way out of my nose. Went to doctor...he told me what it was...a week later I was having surgery.

Back in '15 they came back with a vengeance...both sides...I got to where I couldn't breath out of either side of my nose. They were all throughout my sinus cavities and the pressure was nearly intolerable. They only way I could realize any relief at all was to squirt my nose full of over the counter nose sprays which the ENT's will tell you is a no no. At that point it was either squirt or explode.

This time, because of the surgeries from '15, I didn't even know there was anything there. I can still breath pretty well even with them looking like they look in the pic I posted. Of course with the polyps in the sphenoid...well, you see the danger.

So they can be in there and you not even know until they either start making your head explode or you can no longer breathe. That's why the catscans are so important.

Here's something else of interest. back in '15 I had two surgeries. I was told he cleaned everything out. Today, because the new specialist wanted to see the '15 scans I went and got a disk burned. Opened it up and looked at it. This pic is a side by side of the same area. The left one is from '15 the right '18, the one I had done just a few days ago. If you'll notice the '15 had polyps in the sphenoid but the bone structure was in tact as indicated by the black and red arrows. Then compared to the right one in '18 you can see how the bone structure has been degraded. The green circled area is the sphenoid sinus...the green arrow is where your pituitary gland is. Anywhere in one of these sinus cavities that's not black is a polyp...and some of the structure in you sinus cavity that belongs there...in my case..polyps.

The doctor in '15 should have sent me to this specialist I'm seeing now and I wouldn't be in the situation I'm in now. Wonder if there's a malpractice suit in there?

ICD...my case is extreme. Some people, possibly like you, could have polyps and they would never come close to doing what mine do. Hard to say. I'd just be careful.
