There can be seen dramatic differences, within a state. Take Nohio, for example. Local earnings taxes (from dollar one) can range from zero to three percent. Moreover, in some portions of the states, suburban areas have a millage rate ... approximating 1-1.5%, whereas, in other areas, property taxes can approach six percent. I have two properties, in Shaker Heights, where the property tax rate is approximately 5.8% of assessed valuation (which is actually around 5-10% above market). A two hundred thousand dollar house ... property taxes hit around Eleven Thousand US Yankee Greenback Dollars.

Therefore, it's not simply the state, it's the area of the state.
