I am a farm boy from Iowa. During WWI, farmers were ordered to grow industrial hemp for the war effort. You could pull it up, hang it upside down, only harvest the buds and the best of leaf .. smoke an ounce and you'd only get a headache. However, during the late sixties, into the early seventies, so many people were planting Mexican seed for, shall we say, "commercial purposes" that it cross pollinated and .... you could actually get a buzz.
