Coral: buying gas and selling h.o. in Dec is contra-conventional trend. But with the volatility and the non-traditional wisdom these days, the conventional spreads have/are taking a beating.

Conventionally it was buying gas, selling oil on May 31. Then buying ho and selling gas Labor Day. Taking profits and exiting during the "shoulder" months: Dec, Jan Feb.

Have you ever traded the "crack spread"? You need dough for that.
