Well..yes leaked rays from microwave are not good..particularly if the body absorbs on a regular basis.

But food cooked or radiated by microwaves DOESN'T hold the waves in it...water absorbs 'em, gets boiled and thats the end of it.
However, some plastics like HDPE and polyethylene when subjected to microwaves, melts and decomposes due to heat, and the food next to it...will 'absorb' the gases so released and poison it.

But don't worry about using microwave as long as proper container or glass is used as container.

Same way when an aircraft catches fire its NOT the fire which kills people its the burning plastics which release toxic gases..which choke the lungs and stop the breathing process.
