Lil Sis is wanting to put up a green house over here so we can grow our own stuff from seed and I would like to start doing as you suggest with the seed. Lil Sis usually buys plants from the local high schools 4-H'ers.

I planted some tomatillos and poblano's from seed...they look good but as yet have failed to make fruit.

Putting my tomatoes and peppers in a place where they receive more sunlight was a master stroke. I have been covered up with tomatoes and peppers for a month now. So far...I like the Cherokee Purple's the best followed by the Better Boy and then the Jet Star(they say they make a good salsa tomato).

I put out a lot of squash, water melon, cantaloupe, egg plant etc. I had to replant most of them because they failed to germinate. I think I put them out to early they rotted before the ground temp hit germination temp of 70 degrees??? I would like to start these types of plants in a green house as well and start with Heirloom seeds...then save them. That sounds like fun.

AND...nobody I know has been able to get cilantro to do chit this year. Last year I was covered up in the stuff.
