but there is utopia Diamond Chan.
Once people work thru the generational callousness and remove the sliver of fear and inferiority they are free to interpret the next moment anyway they want. So of course we have a wildly optimistic outlook, which changes everything including how we interpret the past. We choose our outlook. Anything is possible going forward.
What is so encouraging to me is how each new generation is a little more conscientious than the last, a little more tolerant than the last. What is not fair is when I hear corporate recruiters are already using questions on globalization and diversity to weed out young conservatives from fortune 500 jobs. A young, hard working impressionable young man or woman may not get the chance at a prosperous start at seeing the world and making their own judgments cuz they picked up the views of their conservative father or uncle or mother.
its one thing to rail on in a chat room among your birds of a feather, but its another to cast a negative impression when you don't know who or how it will effect others.
I doubt most people in here got past the 1st paragraph, but I assure you just before they take their last breath, like Scrooge on Xmas morning, they will realize how silly they were to always be choosing sides and always trying to put others down to build themselves up.
In the end losing is winning and winning is losing. Utopia is everywhere.
